On June 13, 2012, Tom Crouch, Chief Historian at the Smithsonian Institute, stated he was "incredibly impressed" at the new information about Whitehead (see earlier or click here).

In the interests of fairness, consensus and peer-review, all original information on this site was sent to Tom for comment before publication. Indeed, Tom was invited to co-author the commentary.



However, Tom never examined the new material and wouldn't receive an additional 100, newly-discovered articles. Along the way he wrote that he had "taken sides" against Whitehead (below):
