Utica Observer, Monday, July 8, 1901
Just days after Wilbur Wright and Octave Chanute discussed Prof. Meyers buying thirty pound, ten horsepower Whitehead motor with two hours' fuel for his skycycle (July 1/4, 1901), Prof. Meyers' local newspaper, the Utica Observer, also announced its installment in the Skycycle:
"Prof. Meyers has now under construc-
tion a powerful light weight motor
adapted to automobiles or aerial car-
riages, whose weight will not exceed
thirty pounds for ten horsepower, with
two hours' supply of fuel, and which he
proposes adding to the skycycle."
