Lost Flights of Gustave Whitehead, S. Randolph, pp.18-19

Capt. H.E.Honeywell

H.E. Honeywell was a balloonist of world renown, winning many early races, both nationally and internationally.

Whitehead's biographer, Stella Randolph, corresponded with Honeywell, receiving two letters from him in April and June, 1935. In them, he described having ordered "two light specially constructed motors (gas)" after having seen them advertised by Whitehead. The construction specifications had been designated by Honeywell. Whitehead's assistant, Junius Harworth, testified to having seen Honeywell at Whitehead's factory.
