Close examination of photos taken at the very first exhibition of the Aero Club of America, Jan. 13-20, 1906 in New York reveals that a model of Custead's, Whitehead-powered, hybrid airship was on display there. It was hung from the roof directly above the Lilienthal and Herring/Arnot display sections:
