"Weißkopf [baute] zwei Lilienthal-Apparate; einen Gleiter sowie eine Doppeldecker-Schlagflügelapparat. Die in ihn und in die Flugmaschinen gesetzten Erwartungen waren groß, und selbst Octave Chanute schickte dafür aus Chicago 50 US-Dollar."

English:

"Whitehead [built] two Lilienthal devices; a glider and a biplane-ornithopter. The expectations of him and the machines were high - even Octave Chanute sent $50 from Chicago."
